My Birth Story

We are so thrilled to welcome Emerson Christine Evans in to this world. She graced us with her presence Wednesday, December 2 at 6:39pm. Our beauty weighed in at 7 pounds 13 ounces and 20 inches long. She was in a rush to come into this world; Mom's labor lasted just over an hour and half at the hospital before she made her arrival! The doctor and nurses were all amazed at how smooth and quick my labor went given it was my first pregnancy. My contractions started around 1:30pm, we left for the hospital in an Uber (yes an Uber) at 3:45pm. We checked into our room at the hospital at 5pm and Emerson arrived officially at the 6:39pm. She came so quickly that there was no time for an epidural which was originally part of our birth plan. She wanted to come into this world her way on her terms. I am so thankful for Nate who kept me calm during the entire labor and delivery process, our doctor for coaching me through the pain and all the nurses who supported me along the way!

We hope you enjoy the photos of her first full day in the hospital as much we do; it will be a moment we cherish for a lifetime!
