Organic Clothing, Is it Worth the Cost!?

I know for some the verdict is still out on organic clothing for babies. You may ask yourself does the benefits of organic clothing outweigh the cost? I must admit when I started researching organic clothing brands for Emerson I was a little shocked by the sticker price. However, I do believe the benefits outweigh the cost.

Organic baby clothing for your children cuts down on their exposure to toxins. Pesticides are not used and in place safer methods are used to produce the crops like physical removal of weeds versus herbicides and often farmers institute crop rotation. The end product is a cotton fabric that is toxin free, ensuring your little ones less exposure to harmful chemicals.

Organic cotton is safer, sturdier, cheaper and softer! I know what you are thinking cheaper? While it may be more expensive when you first buy it, compared to the cheaper cotton product it gives you your money’s worth. An organic cotton material should last for 100 washes or more before it begins to wear down. I've found that my non-organic cotton can break down as after just 10 washes so I don't really get much use out of it. So when you do the math, even if it is more expensive up front, if Emerson is able to get 20 more wears out if I've already exceeded my return.

Below is a list of my favorite organic clothing brands. These are the ones I trust for my little Emerson!
