When Baby Sleeps: Face Masks

At least once a week when Emmy goes down for a nap I take a break from chores and do a little something for myself. Typically I indulged in a face mask or eye masks, hoping to reduce the signs of new motherhood on my face.

This week I tried TruSelf Organics Detoxifying Mask. Keeping with my organic movement, this mask is 100% organic and all natural. It is free of parabens, petroleum, and phthalates (bad stuff for your skin). The mask touts reduction of fine lines, wrinkles, scars and discoloration. I’ve used it several times now and can say I love this mask. It pulled out impurities from my skin and visibility brightens my skin, leaving it feeling clean and soft.

Pros:

  • Easy to make clay, just add water

  • Short working time, only need to leave on for 10 minutes

  • Shrinks pores

  • Pull out impurities

  • Softens skin

Cons:

  • Smelly

  • Green color isn’t flattering so beware if you put this one when your husband is home or you baby sees you, they will think you are a green monster!
